ceiling suspended retail P.O.P. lighting and sign system to define branded “store-within-store”

Application - Major International Stereo manufacturer asked our customer, a display manufacturing company, to design and produce a ceiling suspended retail P.O.P. lighting and sign system to define branded “store-within-store” sales areas for a big box consumer electronics chain.

Challenge - The retail P.O.P. lighting signage system had to work with the geometry of varying sales areas, be cost-effective, and install easily.

Crownlite Process - Crownlite worked to define all of the sizes, configurations and installation requirements for the system. Using our 3D CAD and sheet metal capabilities, Crownlite engineered and manufactured a modular system of lit signs, hung in continuous lines from nearly invisible aircraft cable, that appeared to float in space above the sales area. Then, by replacing the aircraft cables with a sheet metal support bracket, we extended the concept to matching 18” and 24” signs for countertop display. This gave the sell space added continuity and extended the scope of the project for our customer.

Solution/Result - Crownlite’s solution, a system of back lit logo display signs that could be easily hung in geometric patterns above the allocated floor space, precisely defined the stereo product’s sales areas and gave the stereo manufacturer just the ‘store within a store’ brand identification it wanted. This solution was used in over 300 big box stores throughout the US.
